Schindler QKS door operators provide smooth, quiet operation and outstanding reliability. They are ideal for new installations and can be adapted to existing elevator systems as well.
Design flexibility
QKS door operators can accommodate many different elevator door heights, widths and weights and many different cab heights. Model QKS 14 is designed for door systems weighing 550 pounds or less, and Model QKS 15 serves those weighing 550 to 700 pounds.
Simple installation
QKS units are designed for easy assembly and their configurations are field reversible and adjustable. Each one-size, light-weight unit accommodates a full range of cab mounting requirements.

- Enhanced closed-loop servo-control maintains constant door closing force and provides continuous, reliable, easily-monitored door position information.
- Solid state controls are housed in a single PC board for easy adjustment and error-free signals.
- Quiet DC motor operates accurately and quickly.
- Rigid door clutch design meets codes and is easily adjustable.
- Heavy door feature handles doors of different weights in the same hoistway.
Nudging feature slowly nudges doors closed and sounds buzzer when door is held open for an extended period of time.
