Field Technicians
Our most important asset
When it comes to installation, service or modernization on elevators and escalators, field technicians are our main interface to our customers. We look to them as a main asset for getting the work done in a way our customers expect. They are doing a great job in keeping our customers happy and following our safety regulations. To remain on this level, we constantly train them to be and stay highly skilled in their field of expertise.
If you are interested in a field technician or apprentice position with Schindler, contact a local office of the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) or go to www.iuec.org.
We offer challenging full-time technician’s positions in the following areas:
- Installation of new elevators and escalators
- Service and repair of existing installations
- Modernization
We are looking for applicants with the following skills and traits:
- High school or associate’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field
- Good mechanical understanding/skills
- Successful team player, with a positive attitude
- Interest in the elevator industry
- Willingness to invest in a long-term future with Schindler
- Have the communication skills to interact with customers and line managers
- Works according to installation and service processes and safety regulations
