Features for people with special needs
The Miconic 10® system is particularly suited for people with special needs or those confined to a wheelchair, and can be specified to meet or exceed the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). To activate these features, first press the international symbol for accessibility located on the keypad. Then press the keys for the desired floor. The Miconic 10 system will attempt to assign an elevator with fewer passengers to allow extra room in the car. Where possible, Miconic 10 will avoid assigning a car with exiting passengers at the boarding floor.

The doors remain open longer to allow the passenger extra time to enter and exit the car.

Audible and visual signals from the keypad will indicate that a car has been assigned to handle the call.

Audible tones guide the passenger throughout the journey. These indicate car assignment and location, as well as the status of doors and arrival at the destination floor.
