Touch-free light curtain door protection
The Schindler Progard® L light curtain door protection system is designed to help protect passengers from closing elevator doors. Progard L will immediately initiate reversal of a closing elevator door even if an object as small as a finger moves into its path.
User comfort and safety
Passengers will quickly appreciate the fact that doors stop and reopen without physical contact. Progard L uses scores of invisible infrared light beams across the elevator doorway. The system reacts instantly whenever a passenger or object intercepts any of the beams. Even objects as small as a cane, foot or finger will intercept a beam and activate the system.
