At Schindler, we rely greatly upon our engineers, who play a crucial role in the key steps of our product lifecycle:  the development of innovative, new elevator and escalator products; as well as the creation of engineering applications and customized solutions to meet customer needs.
The research and development of new solutions takes place in four centers all over the world:  in our global headquarters in Ebikon, Switzerland; in Sao Paolo, Brazil; in Shouzou, China; and in Randolph, New Jersey.  In the US headquarters in Morristown, New Jersey, the Engineering group has technical responsibility for assigned projects from the initial award stage through turnover of elevator equipment to the customer.  
In both areas, we have specialist as well as leadership and project management careers.  And, of course, there are numerous opportunities to progress into different functions of line management, depending upon your knowledge, business and leadership abilities.

To improve your candidacy for an engineering position with our company, you should possess the following skills and traits:
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in mechanical, electrical, software engineering or computer science
  • Be a successful team player

  • Have good analytical and problem solving skills
