Schindler is the first North American elevator company to achieve the internationally recognized quality standards of ISO 9001 certification, and one of the first ISO-certified field service organizations in any industry. ISO certification is part of Schindler's ongoing Quality Improvement Process instituted more than a decade ago. In 2005, Schindler Elevator Corporation was recognized by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance for 15 continuous years of Quality Management System achievement under the International Standards Organization (ISO) criteria.
